This month marks our 5 year anniversary. We’ve had requests for classes and workshops in the past, but felt like we needed time to hone our skills and establish a good foundation. At long last the time has come!
On March 14-15 we will host a weekend of fun, learning and sharing. We certainly don’t claim to know everything, but we do know what has and hasn’t worked for us—and we’re willing to share. Our philosophy on photography is simple—create beautiful, emotional images that will still be classic 50 years from now. You don’t have to know every trick in the book to do that. We believe there are a few basic lessons to learn to get you headed in the right direction.
There’s lots on the agenda: equipment basics, indoor and outdoor lighting scenarios, Photoshop tips and a guide to color correction, and a little insight into our sales and marketing approach. Both days we’ll be shooting on location and in the studio, and taking images through step by step to the final product. We’ve planned lots of time for questions and one on one consultations. If you are a seasoned pro, this may not be the workshop for you. Our workshops encourage “stupid” questions. When I started my business, I never felt comfortable asking the questions I was suppose to already know. The digital age has made it pretty easy to take lots of images and get a few really good ones by pure chance. We want to help give you the knowledge and know how to create those images every time.
